Its implications range from incurring small amounts of technical debt to speed up development - a positive - to stallin g and making development no longer possible - a huge negative. In this pape r\, we present a framework that attempts to refine the understanding of tec hnical debt by tracing more links to the financial metaphor\, specifically focusing on the concepts of restructuring and refinancing technical debt. T his paper looks at technical debt as a leverage product that is contingent upon the liquidity of the debtor. From this perspective\, it is then possib le to more effectively assess the incurment of technical debt and also to m ore effectively strategize the use of leverage in software development - ac counting for the respective risks and benefits it provides.\n UID:sehoot5Vea ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T090000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T091000 SUMMARY:Opening LOCATION:GW2 B2900 DESCRIPTION:Opening (Chair: Program Chairs)\n\n UID:aecie5Vo3E ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T091000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T103000 SUMMARY:Lehman versus Lehman: Dealing with Debt (Keynote) LOCATION:GW2 B2900 DESCRIPTION:Lehman versus Lehman: Dealing with Debt (Keynote) (Chair: Paris Avgeriou)\n\n UID:aKa8Jie4Si ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T183000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T220000 SUMMARY:Dinner LOCATION:Restaurant 'Emma' am See\, Bürgerpark 1\, 28209 Bremen DESCRIPTION:Dinner\n\n UID:ahshiuJ2Mi ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
