Sneed\nSoRing\, Hunga ry\; TU Dresden\, Germany\n\nThis presentation discusses a strategy for mig rating to a service-oriented architecture. The starting point is legacy cod e in a procedural or object-oriented language. The result is a set of web s ervices that can be accessed in a private or public cloud. The technique us ed is to cut out selected portions of code and to wrap them behind a servic e interface. The code itself can be left in the original language. The serv ice interface is in WSDL. The speaker describes how to go about selecting c ode for reuse and how to extract that code from its current environment. Ca se studies are given for the languages COBOL and Java. The presentation the n goes on to describe how to test the services using a web service testing tool which generates artificial requests from the service interface definit ion and validates the responses against the assertions provided by the test er.\n UID:ooSh3reeda ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170521T210942Z DTSTAMP:20170521T210942Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T154500 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T164500 SUMMARY:Migration and Evolution in Cloud Environments LOCATION:GW2 B2880 DESCRIPTION:Migration and Evolution in Cloud Environments (Chair: Jens Borc hers)\n\nChallenges and Assessment in Migrating IT Legacy Applications to t he Cloud\nPatrizia Scandurra\, Giuseppe Psaila\, Rafael Capilla\, and Raffa ela Mirandola\nUniversity of Bergamo\, Italy\; Rey Juan Carlos University\, Spain\; Politecnico di Milano\, Italy\n\nModeling and Evaluation of Mixed Redundancy Strategy with Instant Switching in Cloud-Based Systems\nPan He\, Chun Tan\, Xueliang Zhao\, and Zhihao Zheng\nChinese Academy of Sciences\, China\n\nEvaluating Cluster Configurations for Big Data Processing: An Exp loratory Study\nRoni Sandel\, Mark Shtern\, Marios Fokaefs\, and Marin Lito iu\nYork University\, Canada\n\n UID:IP5aeteePh ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170521T210942Z DTSTAMP:20170521T210942Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T140000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T152000 SUMMARY:Emerging Ideas in Cloud Computing Migration\, Evolution\, and Manag ement (Short Papers) LOCATION:GW2 B2880 DESCRIPTION:Emerging Ideas in Cloud Computing Migration\, Evolution\, and M anagement (Short Papers) (Chair: Marin Litoiu)\n\nSustainability Forecast f or Cloud Migration\nAlifah Aida Lope Abdul Rahman and Shareeful Islam\nNati onal Audit Department\, Malaysia\; University of East London\, UK\n\nArchit ectural Run-Time Models for Operator-in-the-Loop Adaptation of Cloud Applic ations\nRobert Heinrich\, Reiner Jung\, Eric Schmieders\, Andreas Metzger\, Wilhelm Hasselbring\, Ralf Reussner\, and Klaus Pohl\nKIT\, Germany\; Kiel University\, Germany\; University of Duisburg-Essen\, Germany\n\nCloud Com pliant Applications: A Reference Framework to Assess the Maturity of Softwa re Applications with Respect to Cloud\nJuncal Alonso\, Leire Orue-Echevarri a\, and Marisa Escalante\nTecnalia\, Spain\n\nMonSLAR: A Middleware for Mon itoring SLA for RESTFUL Services in Cloud Computing\nShaymaa Al-Shammari an d Adil Al-Yasiri\nUniversity of Salford\, UK\n\n UID:Iep7coo3nu ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170521T210942Z DTSTAMP:20170521T210942Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T110000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20151002T123000 SUMMARY:Migration and Evolution in Service-Oriented Software LOCATION:GW2 B2880 DESCRIPTION:Migration and Evolution in Service-Oriented Software (Chair: Ja n Jelschen)\n\nService-Oriented Toolchains for Software Evolution\nJan Jels chen\nUniversity of Oldenburg\, Germany\n\nMeasuring Test Coverage of SoA S ervices\nHarry M. Its implications range from incurring small amounts of technical debt to speed up development - a positive - to stallin g and making development no longer possible - a huge negative. In this pape r\, we present a framework that attempts to refine the understanding of tec hnical debt by tracing more links to the financial metaphor\, specifically focusing on the concepts of restructuring and refinancing technical debt. T his paper looks at technical debt as a leverage product that is contingent upon the liquidity of the debtor. From this perspective\, it is then possib le to more effectively assess the incurment of technical debt and also to m ore effectively strategize the use of leverage in software development - ac counting for the respective risks and benefits it provides.\n UID:sehoot5Vea ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T090000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T091500 SUMMARY:Opening LOCATION:GW2 B2900 DESCRIPTION:Opening\n\n UID:ahGeivei5o ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T091500 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T103000 SUMMARY:Mining Unstructured Data for Mobile Software Development: Challenge s and Opportunities (Keynote) LOCATION:GW2 B2900 DESCRIPTION:Mining Unstructured Data for Mobile Software Development: Chall enges and Opportunities (Keynote)\n\n UID:qui8Reeso7 ORGANIZER:ConfPub CATEGORIES:Conference Program Event END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT CREATED:20170713T063107Z DTSTAMP:20170713T063107Z DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T110000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20150928T123000 SUMMARY:Tutorial One: Put Your Hands in the Mud: What Technique\, Why\, and How?
