Abstract: Emotions can be affected by a wide variety of environmental parameters. The effect of heat and cold has been studied just recently. It has been shown that heat can affect feelings by applying a thermal stimuli on the palm and acquiring self-reported responses. In this study, we evaluate the effect of thermal stimulation on emotions by applying thermal stimulation on two locations of the body and collecting data through self-report and physiological responses. The goal of this study is to understand if applying temperature to an individual’s skin can predispose them to a different emotion.
