Message from the Chairs
Welcome to the 2016 ACM SIGPLAN Conference on Object-Oriented Programming, Systems,
Languages, and Applications (OOPSLA). The selection of papers in this year’s conference
showcases the breadth and depth of research in programming languages and software development.
Of the 30 paper topics listed on the submission form, the top-5 for accepted papers have been
“language design”, “language implementation”, “concurrency”, “program analysis”, and “tools”.
Closely following are “compilers”, “programming models and paradigms”, and “type systems and logics”. These topics are an excellent reflection of the mix of subjects that OOPSLA treats,
as well as the conference’s flavor.
