Preface
Message from the Chairs
The International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE) provides an environment where ideas are created, exchanged, and synthesized as researchers, practitioners, and educators present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences, and challenges in the field of software engineering. ICSE 2013 brings ICSE back to San Francisco for the first time in 37 years. Leading edge results from ICSE 1976 laid the foundation for work in areas ranging from software correctness and robustness, to language design and analysis, and more. Similarly, leading-edge results at ICSE 2013 will lay the foundation for the future in areas known and emerging as is vital for a world where software will continue to become increasingly intertwined with our environment, our economies, our health, and our political and educational systems.
